Fiverr is one of the most popular marketplace that offer services, starting at a cost of $5 (that’s where its name came from “Five-rr”). It offers  a platform for people to buy and sell a variety of digital services such as graphics design, video editing, programming , SEO , music composition etc. Each service offered is called a “GIG”. Its Alexa rank in July,2015  was #445 , now you can imagine its popularity. It was launched in 2010 and currently host millions of Gigs.
Anyone can make a profile on Fiverr and start offering services as Gigs. Its a great place to sell your skills as a Gig for $5. When someone buy your GIG and you complete whatever written in Gig , you get $4 and $1 goes to Fiverr as commission.

2. Upwork (Former Elance-oDesk)
Two leading pioneer in the world of crowdsourcing : Elance and oDesk , were merged to form Elance-oDesk and later in 2015 , Elance-oDesk  was re-launched as Upwork. Its a platform where businesses and professionals meets and collaborate. 9 Million users are registered with this site and 4 million clients post 3 million jobs annually. If you got a skill like designing , web and mobile developing ,writing and marketing etc , you can join Upwork and can earn huge money.

4. Crowdflower (Now figure-eight)
Cloudflower/Figure-Eight is another popular micro jobs site with 5 million contributors  from 208 countries. Contributors are the people who completes the tasks. Clowdflower is somewhat similar to the Crowdsource.com in terms of user interface and nature of tasks. You get instructions before accepting a task. You can pass different tests to prove your skills and to access more work. The tasks you get here usually related to these categories – content moderation, data collection and enhancement, data categorization, sentiment analysis etc.

5. PicoWorkers
The website is not too old but is currently paying to its workers.  The interface is very similar to Microworkers and Rapidworkers. You make money by completing tasks posted by employers. I don’t how it would do in the future but it has all the potential to become a good crowd sourcing platform. They take about 7 days to process withdrawal request. It would be worth mentioning that you get $2 for just signing up which you can only use for posting your own tasks.
